27 January 2008: Where Leaders Serve : Lunar New Year Hongbao and Dinner for our Elderly and Needy

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, Kampong Glam Women’s Executive Committee was tasked to organise the annual Chinese New Year Dinner. It was definitely a fun-filled get-together dinner with a wonderful line up of performances.

Grassroot Leaders treated elderly Singaporeans and Public Assistance recipients to a sumptuous dinner held at the Kampong Glam Community Club Hall.

For many, the entertainment was just as memorable as the food. Performers the CC interest group could not have asked for a better audience. The 250 elderly residents and public assistance recipients of Kampong Glam Constituency got into the groove and sang along during the performance.

The Grassroot Leaders from Kampong Glam Constituency and Member of Parliament Ms Denise Phua seemed to enjoy it just as much serving the people with passion and enthusiasm.
