They joined members of the Board of the Malay Heritage Centre, tourists and government visitors from the state of Penang, Malaysia.
This event is organized by The Malay Heritage Centre, in conjunction with Singapore Tourism Board as part of a series of launch events of Singapore Food Festival 2009. The aim is to feature, in true Malay style, heritage sweets, desserts and other food items. The museum was also professionally and tastefully done up with interesting exhibitions of Revolusi Asas ’50 and depictions of the evolution of Malay Language in the past 2000 years.
At the lunch reception, Ms Phua welcomed our foreign visitors and thanked the local partners for playing a key role in maintaining racial and religious harmony and keeping the Malay culture alive in Singapore.
