16 August 2008: Launch of Kampong Glam Wheel Chair Project

A community project by Kampong Glam CCC & Peace-Connect supported by the Singapore Metal and Machinery Association. The main objective is to provide wheel chairs for needy elderly residents of Kampong Glam so that they can continue to enjoy a graceful and meaningful lifestyle even when their mobility is limited by age and declining health condition.

An inaugural budget of $20k from SMMA to kick-start this project with the additional donation of $2000 from Mr Kwa Tiong Guan.
